Course Structure
When the student logs in, a personal work area is displayed which:

displays course content
-
updates the student on course start and end dates
-
updates the student on assignment downloaded dates and results
Lectures:
-
The course is divided into sets of lectures.

After completing one set of lectures, the student is required to successfully complete an assessment before moving on to the next lecture set.

Various course notes, patents, PDF's and HTML links are available to download.

Each student can log on and view a lecture for a maximum of six times.

The student will automatically be logged out from the course after 15 minutes of computer inactivity.
Assessments:

The student will have to pass each assessment to successfully complete the course.

Five-days is given for a student to download an assessment and then upload their answer paper.

Assignments are marked within 2 weeks of receiving them. Assigment marks are posted online and displayed in a results table, alongside a detailed answer paper.

The assignments will be marked as a percentage and graded as below.

If the student fails an assessment, the assignment can be repeated a further two times.

Certificates:

On successful completion of the course the delegate will be awarded a certificate of course completion from Cranfield University Precision Engineering Centre.
